I was wandering through Times Square the yesterday, another place I try not to frequent. (If you lived next door to Disneyland you'd spend all your time at Water Country too.) One of the choices on the rotating billboard on the side of the Port Authority Bus Terminal said this:
Wisdom is knowing when to speak your mind and when to mind your speech

I'm originally from NJ and visited NYC a lot. You're right, Times Square is where all the tourists go and it's insane.
ReplyDeleteSavannah is the same way downtown. I saw the scenes once or twice, but now I'm enjoying the local treasures and places that the tourists don't venture out to enjoy.
A shame, they're missing so much.
