Different Rules

This is the Anna cat. She looks tough here, and she can be. With me, with all people, though, she's pretty skittish. If she's in my lap or on the bed with me or in the room and I stand up or roll over or turn or sneeze or sometimes just sigh too heavily she's off like a shot to observe from afar until the incident has been defused.

Right now she's curled up on the opposite end of the couch from me. The big baby dog is in between us and she wants my attention. Her big, bony body keeps squirming toward me like she can sneak over to me and I won't notice when 55 lbs. of dog just "appears" where my laptop used to be. When I looked over to pet her in an effort to stop the "stealthy" advance I noticed that she has a foot planted firmly in the kitten's lower back. Every creeping movement jogs Miss Anna back and forth by inches. That cat's not even twitching an ear over the inconvenience.

So I guess it's just me.

I think that skittish nature comes with that type of cat. Our Hamlet is a gray tabby with the M on his forehead too, and he acts the same way... The least little thing sends him flying through the house. He acts as though we beat him. Stupid cat.
