I woke up about 4:30 because the cramps were so bad. The problem is that I can't take Advi1 or A1eve since they involve blood thinning agents. So I ramped up the heated rice bag and took a couple of Ty1eno1. Then I burst out laughing for like an hour because everyone knows that Ty1eno1 is like a placebo except that, you know, sometimes a placebo actually works.
Anyway, distraction is a good thing, too, so I chipped away at my google reader entries and half watched some crappy movie starring a well-known Scientologist. I was thinking I really wanted to go to sleep again and the news had come on so I checked it before I displaced a cat to get room for my feet and they were talking about a storm. I assumed it hadn't gotten to Brooklyn yet but they were showing very snowy photos so I thought it wouldn't be entirely crazy to heave myself off the couch and see why my part of Brooklyn was mysteriously free of weather.
It wasn't! It's snowing! It's snowing on a Sunday so no one has to go anywhere (sorry, in my world church doesn't count, you can worship by enjoying the snow) and it's pretty and fun and right here at the beginning of December and everything. I may try to get some pictures before it turns to sleet and ice but the priorities will be giving the dog a good walk and not falling on my ass. I know this is disappointing but It's the way it's got to be, I think I've proved this year that I need to be cautious when I'm out in the world.
But still...let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

That storm hasn't yet made it to my neighborhood, but they're predicting that it'll snow starting this afternoon and going clear on 'till Monday night. Four-to-eight is the current prediction. Oh. Yay.
ReplyDeleteam so jealous
ReplyDeleteWe didn't get much but I think you'll get more, Chili. I know you're not pulling for a snow day but make sure you drive safely!
ReplyDeleteZ, I had no idea you missed the snow. It's always pretty nice when it's like this.
