Really is there any funnier or more worthwhile activity for one's birthday than sitting around, eating cheesecake and keeping the cats off the coffee table with a water gun?
No, no there is not.
Apparently my 39th year will be full of the simple pleasures.
Either that or a cat is going to kill me in my sleep tonight.
Only time will tell.
Honestly, I'm going to need to get a mop and clean off the ceiling. You can shoot 3 inches to the side of that damn cat and he'll still gets some serious hang time. Somebody pass the Depends before I ruin the couch. In the words of Joss Whedon, "We don't have cable, we have to make our own fun."*

There really is no greater fun than shooting cats with water guns. At one point, we had a pump-action water handgun that shot 30 feet, easy. We could shoot cats in the yard when they were least expecting it. Mean? Perhaps, but there isn't much that's funnier...

Next year I need to ask for a laser pointer for my birthday. I wasn't doing it for sport, we were keeping them off the table where there was food and if you've been following along you've seen how that can be disastrous.
