Lady Power

A couple of weeks ago I was fortunate enough to be invited to a baby shower for an old college friend. This is my favorite shot from the day. The lady on the right threw the do for the lady on the left (and the young man currently residing inside the lady on the left). It was a thrilling group of women and the conversation never fell below riveting. Many of the gifts were handmade and the laughter was almost non-stop. (One of the ladies makes these. Go click that link. NOW! I'll wait, it's so worth it. I wish I could afford one of each. Hell, I wish I could afford even one.) We all know I get the social anxiety here and there and if this group isn't a cure for that I don't know what is.

My photography on the day I'm less sure of. The lighting wasn't terribly strong so I did lot of the day with the dinky pop up flash since I don't have a special bouncy flash thingamajig. So the technical aspects of the photos aren't stellar. I think I managed a decent archive of the day, though, and there are a couple of shots that hopefully captured the feeling of the fest. I sure had a great time taking them and looking over them again when I was processing.

The restaurant whose grotto we bunkered down in for almost 5 hours was wonderful, as was our deliciously flirty waiter. If you ever go there I'd be happy to tag along!
