I feel like I should say something about the new year. Surrounded by sleeping dogs who I'm going to have to wake up in a minute to take out for a very chilly pee I've laid pretty low this first day of 2009. Huh, well, one big sneeze takes care of waking the dogs up.
I guess this is what I'd wish for the new year, restful yet with dogged forward motion, contentment and warmth. That sounds like a pretty good sort of year, doesn't it? Oh, and naps, lots of naps.
Hope you've lived today as you wish to live the year.

I love that...lots of naps. Sounds like a good prescription for everyone.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a cozy day.
Happy New Year!
I vow to drink more champagne. Finally a resolution i will keep.
ReplyDeleteI was lazy all day. I had to be because I stayed out way past my bedtime the night before.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a nice day! Happy New Year!
The Chili clan had a pretty good day. There was housekeeping involved (the tree made her exit yesterday, but not before dumping a good quantity of needles), there was dining out (which is precisely what I said I'm going to try to do LESS of this year - oh well; there's always tomorrow) and there was family time as we knocked off the first half of the last extended Lord of the Rings film (the last half will happen tonight). If yesterday was representative of what the rest of 2009 will be, I can totally live with that.
ReplyDeleteLove to you, and scritches to the critters,
Chili
ah, this was the first New Year's Day without a dog in the house for us. We walked in the mountains on a hike that was the Malamute's favorite, and remembered him.
ReplyDeleteMaybe 2009 will bring a dog into our house again.
I drove for 5 hours. I hope THAT doesn't happen every day. It was a good trip, though, and I hope to travel more, so I hope maybe it was an omen.
ReplyDeleteI could use more naps in 2009.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
SUEB0B, I've seen the photo, I think you are glorious to still call that frigid drive a win!
