Call Your Mother!

You know what's inconvenient? When your only phone breaks on the morning of Mothers' Day before you call your mom.

The kind people at the extremely busy wireless store took one look at it and said, "Miss, I'm going to replace your phone." Cool. I only lost whatever texts came in between 8am and 4:30pm. I'm still under warranty until September, though I hope I don't have to use it.

I called my mom and she's well. She took a trip to be with another motherless friend and had a lovely time with food and wine and a 3 mile preserve walk. She liked the cards I sent and we had a good talk.

As for me, I celebrated with some other mothers and others who aren't mothers. We had flowers and drank margaritas and gave zzzrbts until we collapsed in laughter. As days go this one is highly recommended.

P.S. Time to get out the sunblock. The sun was delicious but my shoulders are an eensy bit crispy now.
