I did a little experiment today to see if I might not have to race home from work immediately every single night. I went out to dinner after work leaving Eddie alone for much longer than usual. I left a light on and Chrome and I used our fancy groupon to have dinner and our fancy brains to have fun conversation. Turns out we have great breath control because I don't think either of us drew breath all night.
Got home with some trepidation and everything was...fine! As far as I can tell, at least. No pee, no garbage, no screaming. I wouldn't do it every night, or even every other one, but now it feels possible once in a while. I felt a treat was in order and it was just 9pm so I suited my little Napolean up and went to off leash.
There is light in the park! It feels like Times Square compared to last week. It changed the vibe some but overall it's a very good thing and resolved far more quickly than I expected.

Bethany, if you want to go for some night in the 9 o clock hour I'll go to off leash and keep an eye out for you as you go around, just a back up.
ReplyDeleteChrome, it wasn't the margs it was that water we tried to hydrate with after.
