It wasn't until about an hour ago that I realized that I hadn't posted anything to the blog today. Not a photo or a quote or a half-assed paragraph. Honestly there hasn't been a moment to breathe. I left the hotel room for the nearly attached convention center at 8:30 this morning and didn't return until nearly 11:00pm.
I'm not complaining.
All day I've found myself exactly where I belong. Inspiring women talking about accepting ourselves, falling in love with a photographer, drinks with women I was afraid I wouldn't get to see. The list could go on.
People are inclined, non-blogging people, to lament the loss of community. Some may even try to blame it on the internet in general and blogging in particular. Those people ought to spend just half a day at one of these conferences. Blogging, when done with care and bravery, creates community and events like this bring that community from the screen to real space.
We are not alone.
And this weekend proves it.
