Yeah.
I had a whole other plan for today but instead we'll have 10 things I didn't like about today.
1. Earthquake.
2. Earthquake!
3. EARTHQUAKE!
4. Auntie Blanche would have been 101 today but she's DEAD.
5. Earthquake.
6. Earthquake.
7. Earthquake-induced panic attack.
8. Earthquake.
9. Earthquake.
10. MOTHERFUCKING EARTHQUAKE!!!!

I missed the earthquake. I'm sorry that you didn't, because I can see that it really fucked with your day... :(
ReplyDeleteso sorry :( I felt it but was in prospect park in the meadow, probably one of the best places to be. hope the day gets better somehow ... treats perhaps?
ReplyDeleteHoping you're okay. OMG EARTHQUAKE!!!!
ReplyDeletethat was the first earthquake i've had the pleasure of experiencing. my office is on the second floor of a short building - i can't imagine what it was like farther up. my mom works on the 19th floor of her building, and said it was bad enough that people were bouncing in their seats.
ReplyDeletethe other coast can keep the rumbles. i'll take hurricanes in a heartbeat - at least we get PLENTY of advance warning when one of those is headed up the coast!
Once upon a time, I heard a story about the phrase, "May you live in interesting times."
ReplyDeleteNot a blessing, by the way. It's a backhanded curse.
My one solid joke about earthquakes: I like all the other natural disasters, because they have an early warning system. The early warning system for an eartquake is, "Did you just feel that?"
I don't know how, but I missed it! Obviously, I didn't get hurt, so it would have been nice to have noticed it. I've only experienced one other earthquake before, and it was a smaller one, so I don't know how I missed this one!
ReplyDeleteSorry it freaked you out. I am happy to say that Little Seal missed it - he was in a car and no one in the car noticed it.
