Put A Pin In It

When I'm whining and moaning that I never take advantage of all that the city has to offer just remind me about tonight. Kath, Alex, their friend Tim and I went to Smack Mellon to an art opening. Now I suppose we might have done this just because we like art and we're smarty pants but we didn't. We did it because our friend, Anne, had a piece* in the show. I got to catch up with a few of the ladies that I missed when I couldn't go to supper club the other night and the art was cool and it was nice to be in the company of other humans for a while. Plus I felt all hip and shit.

*It's hard to explain but she'd carved an enormous chain out of wood and attached it to an anchor. The links of the chain had Brooklyn-centric and nautical words and images burned into them. It was both very simply and extremely detailed, quite beautiful.

Sounds like fun! I have been wanting to get out and do stuff like that myself, you know, to feel all "hip and shit" too!
You know, when I comment now I don't have the option to view the post. Me likes to view the post while commenting..

  2. I like to see the post while I comment, too, and I hated the text only way you could view it the way it was before. With the pop up window I can drag it out of the way to the side so I can see the whole dang post with pics and everything. Does this not work for you?

I suppose if I wasn't so lazy I could do the drag thing.. Also, it has started to tell me that i need to be logged in to leave a comment. I AM LOGGED IN!! Then, POOF, it's all gone. So sad.
