Less Than Half

5 months from today I turn 40.

It came up by accident today and I had to share.

    You will survive. I promise. It can be fun. I'm clearing 47 in September. You do Mermaid parades, live in NYC, go to cool flicks, have a great blog...you will shine at 40.

    It never even crossed my mind (I'll turn 40 in six months and 5 days). My 30s were great, and I have every expectation that the 40s will likewise rock.

    I don't think the world is going to explode on that day or anything. It's just a birthday. It's a milestone, though, and I like to really mark those. I have a lot of planning to do for the marking before then.
