I wrote a little something over at PPP about a delicious indie I saw way back in 2006. I think you'd enjoy it. The movie, that is.

I'm glad that it's getting a life on TV, so that there can be some money made back on this EXCELLENT film. There have been films made by directors I love that NEVER got distributed at all in any way shape or form, which is just so sad. This is such an excellent film, it's so sad it didn't go further. It just makes it that much harder for people to make more wonderful, complex, engrossing films. Remakes and action films and films with bigger stars are, unfortunately, so much easier to get made. I clicked on your link to PPP, then clicked on your link there - it was so sad to see the comments from people who saw the movie on Lifetime who didn't love the fact that the movie had more questions than answers. (And the name change of the movie is horrid!) Hopefully, at least some people who tune in expecting a trauma-of-the-week-drama will be pleasantly surprised, and not disappointed that they're not getting cookie-cutter-drama! Thanks for spreading the word!

  2. I'm strangely compelled by Tilde Swinton. I can't decide if I like her or not - I've only ever seen her in a few mainstream films - but she always moves me (but not always in a good way, hence my hesitation).

  3. MIflohny, I'm going to think that only the disgruntled people are commenting. The people who like it are less likely to comment. I may be fooling myself but that's OK.

Chili, Swinton is awesome. Even when she's totally crazy bad she's awesome. She made that stupid Constantine piece of crap worth every penny I spent to see it.

I wasn't a fan of Tilda Swinton, but after seeing her in Stephanie Daley and in Michael Clayton, I'm totally a fan.
