    I was just thinking of Some Kind of Wonderful...one of my favorites of all time. They reference it in She's Just Not That Into You, which I saw over the weekend. I didn't hear he died, I'll have to look it up.

    I liked this movie a lot also. Though I never understood what the Eric Stoltz character saw in the Lea Thompson character. But that doesn't compare to the giant plot defect in Pretty in Pink where Molly Ringwald chooses the Andrew McCarthy character over Ducky!!! WTF, Ducky was THE BOMB.
