    Oh, I read about these piano things when we were in Brooklyn in May! Such a cool idea. So - does it work? How do they keep the pianos from being vandalized? or do people actually respect them?

    bethany, are you right here in my neighborhood? Who knew?!

    Aunt Snow, there are volunteers who take care of the pianos but I'm not sure. This one is chained to two really heavy cement blocks and there's a tarp that covers it at night or in the event of rain. So far people seem to be respecting them. I haven't heard of any trouble.
